Tim & Crystal Schmidt
Tim and Crystal moved to Northwest Arkansas in August of 2014 to lead the Heartland Church. Prior to this they served for the past 10 years as campus ministers for Gateway City Church in St. Louis, MO. They have a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with God and have also served in youth ministry as well as young adult ministries. Tim also leads the worship ministry and has had the privilege of coordinating worship ministries for several churches and events throughout the country. Tim and Crystal serve as directors for Heartland Kids Kamp, a christian camp for elementary-aged children from multiple churches throughout the heartland region. Prior to going into the ministry Tim and Crystal were both in the entertainment industry. Tim studied music at Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri St. Louis and has performed throughout the country. Crystal studied dance and has trained with some of the top choreographers in the nation. They met performing in the show Oklahoma. They have been married since 1999 and have two very active teenagers, Joshua and Adrianna.
Josh & Katie Werner
Josh and Katie are recent graduates from University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Josh graduated with a degree in Computer Science, and Katie with a degree in Linguistics with a minor in Creative Writing. Josh and Katie moved to NW Arkansas in July of 2017 to help lead the campus ministry. Josh and Katie both enjoy games, being active, and love helping people. Katie became a Christian her freshman year of college at KU in the fall of 2013. Josh became a Christian shortly after during his sophomore year at KU in spring of 2014. Josh and Katie met at the first campus event Josh attended. They have been married since July 2017. Before coming to NW Arkansas, Josh was a campus intern for Free State Church.
